We partner with businesses, projects, and programs to identify common needs, lean into resource-sharing, and showcase the thriving offerings and opportunities already here—while opening new pathways for collaboration.

Through workshops, community gatherings, land-based retreats, art and storytelling projects, we facilitate connection—with each other, with our shared place, and with the thriving that grows between.​

​Helping communities to build the foundations for effective collaboration—utilizing participatory processes, surfacing place-based wisdom, and fostering cooperative communication practices. We help identify shared purpose, cultivate alignment, and grow leadership capacities to bring community visions to life.

RESOURCES

We are growing a living library of curated resources, community offerings, and local service providers to support visibility, connect people to what they need, and strengthen the web of mutual support that makes our community thrive. This shared hub will continue to grow as our community contributes its knowledge, skills, and services.

Our vision is to build a land-based center - stewarded by and for community - to facilitate the programs and offerings of Common Ground partners, to host community events, to preserve natural spaces, and to provide shared infrastructure for local artisans, educators, practitioners, and businesses.

Nestled on the shores of an ancient glacial lake—shaped by Ice Age floods and cradled by converging mountain ranges—this bioculturally rich region is part of the ancestral homelands of the Kalispel Indigenous peoples who have lived in reciprocal relationship with the land since time immemorial.

Our vibrant town is rooted in deep history and evolving through changing times. Common Ground emerged from a commitment to cultivating resilience through deepening place-based connection, tending community relationships, and inspiring the intention to be thoughtful stewards of our shared home.
